MISSION AND PURPOSES

The Delaware Valley Reading Association is a professional organization committed to the promotion of literacy in the home, school, and community.


The goals and purposes of the Delaware Valley Reading Association are to:

• Promote good reading habits that last a lifetime

• Promote effective instruction in reading

• Promote literacy research

• Sponsor programs, meetings, and conferences on reading

• Provide leadership on literacy issues

• Encourage and support educators in their efforts to promote literacy

• Recognize contributions and achievements in the area of literacy
